Centre 55 Programs: Complete Children's Programs

Before and After School Programs. 6-12 year olds.

The Before School Program:

Staffed by E.C.E. teachers and assistants. We are here bright and early ready to receive children 6 – 11 years old from 7:30 am and enjoy our walk to the schools Kimberley/Beaches & Adam Beck, to drop the children off. We will provide the children with a variety of interesting cognitive activities during this short time. We can accommodate 50 children in this part of the program. No time to eat breakfast, bring it in with you and have a leisurely one. We’ll provide the utensils and dishes.

The Lunch Program (22 Children)

For 22 children 6-11 years old at Kimberley/B.A.S PS only. Our wonderful E.C.E. staff will pick your child up and bring them back to the centre. Choices are discussed with the children giving them input. A menu is then developed accordingly, following the Canada Food Guide. After lunch cognitive, craft or a quick game is available before the children are walked back to continue their day at school. No program is offered on P.A days, Christmas Break & March Break.

Centre 55 Site- After School Program …..is licensed  for 60 children 6 – 11 years old. Pick up is from Kimberley/Beaches, St John’s & Adam Beck school.

Our site at Kimberley Public School After School Program …is licensed for 25 children 6 – 11 years old. Pick up from the Kimberley/BAS School. 

We have 3 qualified E.C.E. staff and 5 Program Assistants delivering an age appropriate, non-biased, inclusive enriched program. The After School Program will contain a variety of initiatives both by the staff and the children. Accommodating physical activity, cognitive, sensory, sewing, sciences, and cooking, homework and reading. We offer sign up for an extended program for P.A days, Christmas Break and March Break, following the school calendar. 7:30 am – 6:00 pm options……..Sign up for P.A days, Christmas and March Break for the School Age Program & Enrichment Program. Costs are not included in the monthly fee and have pro-rated fees for these days. Sign up for these days is required. If we do not have a minimum of 20 children it is not feasible to operate a full day care program.Field trips for the School Age Program will be part of the weekly/daily activities on full days or periodically through the year.
