WE NEED ALL THE HELP WE CAN GET AND WE ARE GRATEFUL FOR IT

From time-to-time, people and corporations support Community Centre 55 by organizing fund raising events or by donating funds from their existing event to our charity. We really appreciate this. The donations are used to further our charitable work in Summer Day Camp, Share A Christmas, program subsidies, purchasing new equipment and providing relief to people who need and want our help.

These events are referred to as 3rd party events. We try not to be overly bureaucratic about 3rd party events, however, there is considerable liability involved and we must exercise our fiduciary responsibilities. So your patience and understanding is appreciated. We can help you with each step of the 3rd party process. We'll help to make it simple and expedient. Call us for support - 416.691.1113 ext 224.

Examples of a 3rd Party Events may be:

• A-thons: run, walk, bike, roller blade, skip, bowl, skate
• a Dance
• a Raffle
• a Golf Tournament
• Auctions
• Carnival
• Car wash
• Galas/ Dinner Dances
• Garage sale/ Bake sale
• Golf Tournaments
• Hockey Tournaments
• Baseball Tournaments
• Plays/ Concerts
• Public Education events
• Races

We’re sorry, but we cannot approve the following types of events:

• Programs that involve a professional fundraiser, telemarketing and/or an agreement to raise funds on a commission, bonus or percentage basis
• Events that promote the use of tobacco or alcohol
• Vending machine sales
• Events where expenses cost more than half the gross revenue
• Events that promote a political party, candidate or political campaign
